In honor of the 100th anniversary of the bra, Trail Runner tested some of the newest support systems available. Tested under an array of conditions, testers not only rated the bras for support and breathability but for fit and comfort, style, durability and odor retention.
The good news of course is that today's sports bras have advanced a long way from their humble beginnings but with a range of support levels offered, choosing the right sports bra still isn't easy.
Sugoi's Firma Mesh Bra receives the highest support rating in the line and Trail Runner's 38C tester found that 'there was minimal to no bouncing'. The full coverage support is surprisingly cool and breathable due to an airy Support Mesh construction throughout the entire bra. With spandex blended into the Support Mesh, testers found that 'the superb stretch ensures a comfortable, non-irritating fit.'
